Philippaerts wint derde manche en pakt eindzege in Mantova

Internationale wedstrijd in Italiaanse Mantova
De derde en laatste manche van de Starcross in Mantova is gewonnen door David
Philippaerts. In deze manche liep de voormalig Wereld Kampioen meer dan tien
seconden weg bij tweede man Tanel Leok. Gautier Paulin eindigde wederom als
derde en beste MX2-rijder.
Kevin Strijbos revancheerde zich na zijn tegenslag in de tweede manche en werd
vierde. Beste Nederlander werd Glenn Coldenhoff op een tiende plaats en was
hiermee derde MX2-rijder. Ook in het dagklassement is hij van de MX2-rijders als
vierde geeindigd. Bas Verhoeven werd twaalfde en helaas haalden Herjan Brakke en
Mike Kras de finish niet.

David Philippaerts wint ook de tweede
manche in Mantova
Na zijn overwinning in de eerste manche van de Starcross in Mantova heeft de
Italiaan David Philippaerts ook de tweede manche weten te winnen. Tanel Leok
werd met een achterstand van twintig seconden als tweede afgevlagd voor Gautier
Paulin. Bas Verhoeven werd knap achtste en Herjan Brakke en Glenn Coldenhoff
werden tiende en elfde.
Kevin Strijbos, die in de eerste manche derde werd, kwam ditmaal pas als
negentiende over de finish. Mike Kras haalde in deze manche de finish niet.

winnen eerste manches in Mantova en Valence (Update)
De Italiaan David Philippaerts heeft de eerste manche van de Starcross in
Mantova gewonnen. Philippaerts reed in de beginfase achter Tanel Leok maar sloeg
na een aantal ronden toe en won voor Tanel Leok en Kevin Strijbos.
Beste Nederlander werd Bas Verhoeven (pakte kopstart) op een zesde plaats. Mike
Kras en Glenn Coldenhoff werden achtste en negende en finishten als tweede en
derde MX2-rijders achter Gautier Paulin. Coldenhoff reed in het starthek maar
wist toch nog knap terug te komen naar een negende plaats. Herjan Brakke kwam
vanuit de achterhoede terug gereden naar een negentiende plaats.
In Valence won Arnaud Tonus de eerste MX2 manche voor Nicolas Aubin en Jordi
Tixier. In de MX1 klasse domineerde Clement Desalle. Hij won voor Steve Ramon en
Shaun Simpson.

Kevin Strijbos wint 1 tegen 1 competitie in Mantova
De Belg Kevin Strijbos lijkt in topvorm te zijn. Gisteren won hij al de MX1
kwalificatieheat en zouist heeft hij de 1 tegen 1 competitie gewonnen. Strijbos
versloeg in de MX1 finale David Philippaerts en versloeg in de laatste finale
Harri Kullas. Later meer vanuit Mantova. In Valence staan Clement Desalle en
Nicolas Aubin op pole!
Philippaerts pakt superpole in Mantova
De Italiaan David Philippaerts heeft de superpole bij de Starcross in Mantova
gewonnen voor Tanel Leok, Strijbos, Charlier en Boissiere. Glenn Coldenhoff
zette een zevende tijd neer en Mike Kras de achtste.
Kevin Strijbos wint MX1 kwalificatieheat in Mantova
De MX1 kwalificatieheat tijdens de Starcross in Mantova is gewonnen door Kevin
Strijbos. De Suzuki-rijder bleef Tanel Leok en David Philippaerts voor. Manuel
Monni en Michael Staufer maakten de top vijf compleet. Bas Verhoeven werd

Herjan Brakke kwam bij de start met een andere rijder in aanraking. Deze rijder
zat met zijn been vast tussen het achterwiel van Brakke waardoor hij veel tijd
verloor. Later in de manche kwam Brakke nogmaals ten val en kon daarom een goed
resultaat vergeten. Omdat hij niet in de top 15 is geeindigd is het
twijfelachtig of hij morgen nog mag starten.
